Today, nearly 70% of Hispanic-American women have at least one risk factor for heart disease, but only 37% know heart disease is their leading health threat.

Fats that Heal Fats that Kill

Hi everyone Daniel Foltz, Ámate Ahora Ohio Chapter Rep, sharing with you a very interesting look into the making of the oils we use to cook with!!!! It really amazed me on how much stuff is put in. Then removed from the oil to take the rancidness out of the oil after its been heated. Interestingly enough the process, like Crisco goes through, to make a solid is why some products can sit on the shelf for 30 years. Never rots, and there’s absolutely no nutritional value at all.

Dr. Udo Erasmus discusses a multitude of topics affecting the oil industry and the consumption of fats and oils and human health. Central to Udo’s book is the obvious misunderstanding that surrounds “Fats that Heal” versus “Fats that Kill”. He exposes the current fad of low-fat, no-fat, and even fake fat diets and the detrimental effects it has on an individuals physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Healing fats are required, together with other nutrients, to prevent and reverse so-called “incurable” degenerative diseases: heart disease, cancer, and Type II diabetes. Healing fats also help reverse arthritis, obesity, PMS, allergies, asthma, skin conditions, fatigue, yeast and fungal infections, addictions, certain types of mental illness, and many other conditions. Educate yourself!!!!! Check out the link. Enjoy.

5 Fats That Don’t Make You Fat

Daniel Foltz, Ámate Ahora Ohio Chapter Rep, shares there are a lot of myths out there regarding nutrition. We are always eager to try the next health fad or new diet in hopes of dropping pounds and feeling great. One of the biggest misconceptions is that fat makes you fat. Our society is obsessed with low-fat and fat-free products thinking they are healthier. This simply is not true. The majority of foods that are labeled low-fat or fat-free are refined processed foods in which the fat has been replaced with more sugar. Not a good option. In fact, many fats are very healthy, essential to our wellbeing, and even promote weight loss.  Our body requires fat in order to function properly. Plus, many necessary vitamins, such as A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble, meaning the only way your body can absorb them is in the presence of fat. Check our these yummies. By Jen Broyles
