Have you ever had to deal with a difficult family illness? Are you caring for a loved one? Leticia Madrigal lost her father after suffering a heart attack caused by heat stroke. Years earlier her mom was told she had six months to live due to her unmanaged Type 2 Diabetes, since then she’s transformed her health and her families health. It was during this difficult health encounter that she decided to Launch Ámate Ahora. She took this tragic event to be a voice for health in the community, and she will share with you how she was able to turn tragedy into power and peace of mind.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
